Montessori Enrichment Programs |
"An
educational method that shall have liberty as its basis
must intervene to help the child to a conquest of liberty.
That is to say, his training must be such as shall help
him to diminish as much as possible
the social bonds which limit his activity."
-Dr
Maria Montessori

An important aspect of Montessori education is the respect
for every child as an individual. Dr. Montessori observed
that a child goes through four distinct and noticeable planes
of development. At the age of 3 to 6 he explores through
his senses, later at the ages of 6 to 12, he explores through
his imagination. At the age of 12 to 18, it is a time of
great transformation, and from age 18 onwards, it is the
transition into adulthood.

Enrichment programs enable the child the continuity to further
enhance his development and self discovery at different
level and plane. As the child masters the basic skills early,
he can therefore spend more time developing skills and learning
other subject areas

The enrichment programme varies from school to school based
on the fundamental needs of the children in each school
