Dr. Montessori discovered that children between ages 6 to
12 have their own special sensitivities for learning. They
need a different kind of prepared environment and different
types of lessons.
The Montessori Elementary environment feeds the need of
a child to explore through careful analysis and logical
thinking. This in turn strengthens the child's aptitude
for using the power of abstraction to educate himself in
a wider sphere than of the basic classroom. The curriculum
accommodates the child's natural curiosity towards the relationship
between biological, physical and cultural phenomena, etc.
