Art forms part of the Montessori program. It helps to perfect
the movements of the hands, stimulate creativity in children
and develops an appreciation of artistic values such as
colour, patterns, texture and design. It expands children's
ability to observe and helps them cultivate an eye for details.

Art is an integral part of every aspect of the curriculum.
As the child enjoys exploring nature and things around him,
art further stimulate the child to be more independent and
self-reliant. It further enhance the aesthetic sense, the
appreciation of things around him.

Children
need to have appropriate tools and must be shown the techniques
of using them. One important human characteristic is the
use of our hands to create. Thus equipped with proper tools
and techniques, the children feel happy, fulfilled and confident
when they can use their hands to create.

Children's discover their ability to imagine and create
through the sensorial experiences as they explore art with
their senses.

As children explore, experiment and work with the different
variety of media, they unconsciously develop confidence,
sense of self satisfaction and pride. |
